The Holy Spirit Supports Us in Our Weakness —
Disappointment and distress happen to everyone. The Bible teaches that in these moments of confusion and frustration, the Holy Spirit comes alongside of us. He prays for us and supports us, so that we don’t give up.
Watch a real life example that beautifully portrays this supportive role of the Holy Spirit. It occurred in the life of Derek Redmond, a British 400 meter runner, in the 1992 Barcelona Olympic Games. After Derek snapped his hamstring in the middle of the semi-finals, his dad’s supportive role in helping this heartbroken, yet determined athlete complete the race will never be forgotten. Dearest Holy Spirit, Thank you that just like Derek Redmond’s father, you come alongside of me to help me when I am weak. Thank you for your encouragement, your prayers, and your support during these times, so that I can become all that you want me to be. Amen.
